The Founder
Sofia Abubakar is a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over ten years of experience working in NHS mental health services and navigating high pressure environments.
Through her work with early-career professionals, Sofia saw a repeated pattern. Many were talented, driven, and highly capable, but their mental patterns were working against them. The more pressure they felt, the louder the mental noise became, and the harder it became to perform at their true potential.
That insight became the foundation of Stress Tools.
Instead of focusing on productivity hacks or quick fixes, Sofia designed evidence-based frameworks that rewire the internal patterns that fuel stress, anxiety, and burnout.
Her approach combines evidence-based therapy, performance psychology and practical behavioural tools that translate directly into confidence, resilience, and action.
The mission is simple:
To ensure ambition remains a force for growth and realised potential - not a pathway to burnout.
