A Unique Approach

Human-First Psychology.

We believe that sustainable performance is the outcome of strong psychological foundations — not something achieved by sacrificing wellbeing. Human beings were never designed to perform at the expense of being human.

That’s why we go beyond generic wellbeing initiatives and productivity hacks. We help early-career professionals understand and change the underlying mental patterns that shape how they respond to pressure, uncertainty, and setbacks.

Because the goal isn't simply better coping. It's helping people function at their best without losing themselves in the process.

Prevention Over Cure.

Many ambitious early-career professionals are expected to perform in increasingly demanding environments without ever being taught the psychological skills needed to sustain that performance.

Without those skills, increased pressure, constant evaluation and rising expectations can become burnout, disengagement and untapped potential.

Rather than waiting for performance to decline, Stress Tools strengthens the foundations that keep it steady. Because pressure is inevitable, but burnout and suffering unnecessarily isn't.

Built on Evidence. Grounded in Experience.

Stress Tools is founded by Sofia Abubakar, a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working in NHS mental health services.

Her philosophy has been shaped by both clinical practice and personally relying on the same psychological principles during profound periods of adversity during her own early career.

That combination of evidence and experience underpins everything Stress Tools teaches.

Sofia Abubakar is a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working in NHS mental health services, supporting people through periods of pressure, uncertainty and adversity.

Throughout her clinical work, Sofia recognised a recurring pattern.

Many ambitious early-career professionals who were struggling weren't lacking intelligence, ability or potential.

They were taught how to achieve.

They were taught how to perform.

But they were rarely taught how to sustain performance without sacrificing their wellbeing.

Periods of profound adversity during Sofia’s own early career reinforced her belief that prevention is always better than cure, and that we shouldn't wait until people are burnt out before equipping them with the psychological skills to thrive.

Today, Sofia combines evidence-based psychology with practical, preventative training to help early-career professionals build resilience, navigate pressure and uncertainty, and fulfil their potential without burning out.

🎓 Sofia’s professional training & qualifications reflect a continuous commitment to evidence-based practice:

Real impact.

Real resilience.
